Every once in a while I stumble upon an artist or designer whose work just makes me beam from ear to ear – in this case it’s British textile designer Zoe Murphy. Zoe’s repurposed mid century pieces and vintage textiles are printed with imagery inspired by her beloved home town of Margate – her ethos is ‘love what belongs to you’.
She has already had her work shortlisted for the BBC New Designer Of The Year Award, and exhibited at Free Range design shows, New Designers 2008 and The Old Town Gallery in Margate, even though she only graduated from university last year. I’ll be keeping up to date with her work on her blog, as I can’t wait to see more from her.

Miss Murphy is amazingly talented!
