Diane Gilleland shares this great tutorial over at Craftstylish for repurposing old magazines into reed embellishments for trinket boxes, picture frames etc.
I’m completely smitten with the work of Sarajevo born artist and illustrator Yellena James, which has been described as “colorful arrangements of organic shapes and tangled lines which are at once floral and alien, organic and sci-fi, crafty and fantastic.”
Her clients already include some serious names like Anthropologie, Adidas, K2 Snowboards and Nike, and as well as being displayed at galleries worldwide, she has been featured in Vogue Australia, Giant Robot, Domino Online, Design Sponge and Apartment Therapy among others.
I can’t decide between this…
…as my new favourite doormat.

Designer Eliza Strozyk has developed this amazing rug made from offcuts of wood veneer bonded to a textile backing. Graduating from Central St. Martins College in London, she has created this ‘wooden textile’ for her MA project.
